From England, Ireland, Massachusetts,
New York, Florida, Arizona, Washington, D.C.: "A wonderful retreat . . .
ideal base to tour from . . . main suite would be suitable for royalty . .
. warm welcome . . . first class. . . . Engaging, interesting, and cordial
hosts . . . beautiful grounds . . . a stay we'll remember and likely
repeat. . . . Our wedding party loved it. . . . I would move in
permanently if I could. . . . Breakfast fit for royalty . . . attention to
detail extraordinary. . . . A magical place!"
It's magical for country weddings too. And for many proposals. "To
date, no one has said no! We bought this farm in 1984 and have never
stopped working on it. . . . After our children graduated from college, we
started a Bed and Breakfast, expecting the farm to appeal to families. Not so! We host
parents here for a getaway! They enjoy the surroundings—the pond with
ducks and geese, the Arabian horses that we raise, the double swing
suspended from the 200-year-old ash tree. And yes, we do give tours of the
four-storied barn. I'm English. Rick is
Canadian. We met in California. We love sharing this rambling,
eclectically furnished seventeen-room 1880 Victorian house."
